Portable electrical power (i.e. batteries) would be an issue simply because of
the extra weight involved  especially on a gas powered craft. I didn't say
it was impossible, just challenging, as it would be for *me*. [:-)

Many moons ago I was given a tethered gas (glow type) plane, and that has been
the extent of my experience.
