  Inside jokes aside, though, why not ?  It shouldn't be that hard to
  provide a subset of the Presentation Manager API that works on other
  platforms.  It's *certainly* not hard to implement the "Family API"
  subset of the Control Program API in DOS and DOS+Windows.
