Some vets will certify a vasectomied Dog as desexed and tattoo the ear
accordingly (some Councils bitch, others grumble but allow the lower rego).
It has many advantages over neutering, especiall as it tends to avoid the
dog going soft-in-the-head and lazy as if often the case with neutered
animals. Depends on whether you want the dog for "show" security
or not...

The down side is that you have a *male* dog, with all the attendant
"problems" like a tendancy to chase bitches...
