Hmmm...let's take a look at O'Keefe...

Goes after ACORN, using heavily edited videos.
Refuses to release the unedited videos.

Two investigations find O'Keefe and his bimbo lied.

Now O'Keefe goes after Senator Landrieu, for what reason is still
unknown.
He and three buddies dress up like telephone repairmen, planning to put
illegal listening devices on phone lines in Landrieu's office.

O'Keefe's supporters are concocting more and more outlandish scenarios,
including "Obama set O'Keefe up."

O'Keefe himself, out on bail, has tweeted "The truth will set me free."

Now where is this going to go?
Hard to tell at the moment.
It could end with O'Keefe, and he pays the penalty for committing a
felony.

O'Keefe could make a deal with the Feds, and turn in those who might
have hired him.
The most likely suspect in that scenario is Andrew Breitbart.

Or the whole thing could snowball, like a burglary at the Watergate
hotel did.
