The chap with whom I was to speak wasn't there.  Needles to say Stallion
cards and Digiboards aint cheap.  I can get 8 port serial cards that share
one interupt for $195 (ex tax).  These are suitable for Linux (or other
unix) use, but not DOS or OS/2.  Considering that I want them for Linux, I
think I will go with them.

I saw Poe Lim advertising in another conference a 4 port 16 bit serial
cards with intterups 2-15, he says suitable for DOS, OS/2 and Windows
without a driver. He said they had socketed UARTS.  $150
