True.  And though accidents will happen, I understand that the Z3C has
taken steps to make sure there are no accidents in Z3 by rewriting the
nodelist he distributes to replace all 000 entries with -Unpublished-.

Some have said to me, "what about the next ZC?".. well, if the
next ZC doesn't think it's necessary to do the same, why is this one so
concerned (I truly understand the concern, but what's to say the next Z3C
won't be equally willing to do what is necessary to prevent such an
accident?).

I agree there, though like I said, I think Malcolm's fix is perfectly
understandable due to legal ramifications in his zone.
