RW> when was the last time you attended a city board/managers/council

The local area Copwatch & Anti-Racist Action (two collectives/organizations
that I might be affiliated with) are engaged in several lawsuits with the
police department, not to mention several incidents that occurred that they
did
not sue after for financial/other reasons. Members have been guests on local
talk shows. Copwatch routinely sends out "squads" of volunteers who videotape
police officers in action, in a very poor part of town, and the campus, and
have videotapes that are being compiled, including video of the police
pointing
a gun at a girl's head who is sitting on the ground, who they let go after
detaining her for 5-10 mins, and other incidents. There are constant FOI
actions. You can check out their webpage if you like. In other words, I'm not
just reading the daily newspaper and reacting. If I was, and just casually
following the paper, and the city council meetings, all of which are DESIGNED
to look good and follow procedures, I would probably think like you do.
