OK.  Will do starting as of today.  Below is the mode command as it currently stands.

mode com2:38400,n,8,1,idsr=off,odsr=off,octs=on,rts=hs,dtr=on,to=off

I am going to start by eliminating the port speed first.  If the transfers
continue to work after that I will then commence to eliminate paramters
from right to left one at a time.
