RW> But you are wrong about the former USSR everything belonged to the
RW> people and the people decided how to run things via the people's
RW> congress, in theory of course. The same thing applies to China.
RW> If you read about either you will find why the system failed. I'll
RW> give you a hint, human nature. You had bums who didn't want to work,
RW> bullies who wanted to tell everyone else how to work and egomaniacs
RW> who wanted POWER.
RW> Both systems started out (more or less) with the same thinking you
RW> are using. Once it was discovered that the system wouldn't work it
RW> had to be "adjusted".
But that's just not true. If you look at the history of the Russian
Revolution,
and how Lenin essentially backstabbed the revolutionaries, you will see that
from the beginning, there was never a communist organization in that country.
But I don't want to squabble about that, because while I know that the USSR
was
not communist, I also don't think that communism would work anyway.
If you want some real-life examples of what I'm talking about, look at the
Spanish in the 30's, or Chiapas today, or the Paris Commune, or even the
anarcho-collectives that exist in the U.S. today.
