I have to agree with all of the above, Jim.  The movie fell short on the 
"dead lights" for sure and, if you remember (book), the town was virtually 
destroyed in the end.  With today's special effects, they could've done 
better.  I wanted to see the standpipe go down.

I agree there, too.  I have "IT" on tape along with others like "The Stand", 
"The Langoliers", and the TV version of "The Shining".  Getting the 
youngsters to read _anything_ can be a chore. ;)  Maybe... "The Eyes of the 
Dragon" or "The Talisman".
