subject: Corel`s WP8 Address Book

Anyone here experience frequent blue-screen-of-death exception error screens
in W95 when using Corel's Suite 8?
A W95 machine that seems to exhibit atleast one "exception error" a month.
It's ridiculous. Here is what happened recently (as reported in a log book
that I told the user to jot down ANY problems). The user didn't have any
other applications open at the time. They opened up the Corel Suite 8
Address Book as a separate application. No problem sofar. As soon as they
clicked on "File" to open up a new book, the blue screen of death pops up
with the exception error message and prompts the user to Ctl-Alt-Del. THEN
the user was prompted to insert a new blank diskette in drive A. Details in
the log book are terse at this point but the diskette has a file on it called
"SCANDISK.DAT" or something like that.
If this is a problem with the version of Corel Suite 8, then I could try to
get an update, but the current experience is frustrating to the user.
Any ideas? Not sure which version of Suite 8 they've got (will check) but
it was the first version soon after the product availability.

Since BSOD errors are hardware generated, you need to check out you
computer. Probably memory subsystem errors, and very hard to diagnose.

I have seen copies in used computer stores. It is often not
cheap, because of the advantages you cite. Some weeks ago I
posted the phone number of a store that had two or 3 copies for
$70 each.
