 The machine sadly came with NO books or software ):

 The following are desired ..

 Superscript 128
 Geos 128 v2
 C128 System Guide.

 Second-hand originals would be GREAT...
 Sources of NEW copies would be good...

 Last choice would be at least copies of the manuals with no disks...
