Hi Jari, My take on this is that I would like to have a single executable (e.g. E:\FORTRAN\BINP\PWB.EXE) and use it with different values for PATH, INCLUDE and LIB. Thus, I could have a single copy of MS Programmer's Work Bench with different behaviour running MS FORTRAN, MS COBOL or IBM C/2 compilers. Likewise with some other OS/2 programs, and a few DOS programs. Thus, I would not want the environment information stored with the executable, but with each _instance_ of the program object.
