really? i wouldn't have thought that... i've dug mature seeds out of the
pulp, yes, very near the outside, for my dad to grow... he/we were quite
surprised that they did grow and give (small) fruit after some years... in
reading about pineapples, we found that a big thing in hawaii is checking
everything coming in for critters and such... mainly so they can try to
keep the pollinators out of the pineapple orchards so that folk cannot
simply get seeds and start growing their own...
