I have worked in jurisdictions wher in any and all confrontations the only 
white person around was the LE officer. Do you suggest that the officer 
should wait til a white person cattacks him to defend himself? OTOH I worked 
as a Deputy in a white county with only one black family andin the year I 
worked there I had zero serious confrontations. course demographically the 
population was german and polish farmers. They work hard, goo to bed early, 
after 9pm light on in the rural areas were only farm security lights. A 
couple of bars and drinking problems, but othetrwise a quitepeaceful mayberry 
The demographics of LE are diverse, as are working conditions and pay.
