subject: What`s Banyan vines?

Hi Thomas,
TWM> I've come across this term several times but I don't
TWM> have the slightest idea what it is. It must be some
TWM> kind of network protocol or networking software.
The functions performed by Bayan Vines can be roughly equated to the
functions performed by a Novell environment, IE it is basically a combination
of a LAN transport protocol, a Network topology, with a Server access
methodology for that environment. Although I have had a brief browse over the
main aspects of Banyan as it applies to Cisco Routers, I have never actually
seen such a beast...........;-)
