 Chevron seems to really like to do that. I grew up in El segundo CA (named 
the second because that is where Standard Oil of CA built their second 
refinary and the town for the most part). Standard/Chevron has always been 
more expense their than elsewhere. I always thought they just wanted to screw 
the loyal employees.
