WA> I've been stressed and so have used my crafts a lot in
WA> coping with it. I've been coloring a lot of cards. I
WA> had stamped way ahead when I felt like it so I have a lot
WA> I can simply sit and color. I also have buttons that I
WA> can go through as well. Having these in reserve has
WA> helped in dealing with all of this.
I've done some coloring lately, too. I have a preschoolers Winnie the Pooh
coloring book and have been coloring in it. Sometimes I share this with my 5
year old neice. It helps put distance between me and things I can't do
anything about. I -can- color... I even stay inside the lines, usually. :)
WA> I'm hoping that when I feel a little better I can begin
WA> to make some of the gift bags I want to sell in the fall
WA> with the paint and sponges.
I finally got my knitting machine and books out into the living room where
they belong. I have been trying to come up with something to sell at local
shops, but most things are beyond my current concentration levels. Blankets
are what comes to mind most and I think I will start there and see where it
goes.
WA> were bad dreams and I am trying not to think about it. But
WA> there was one dream that I woke up with the thought going
WA> over and over in my head "you are cared about" and that
WA> is the dream that I am holding on to.
And you are truly cared about, Wendy. Many of us care about you.
WA> when the kids were painting butterflys on Friday because
WA> I really wanted to be out and helping, but I took the wiser
WA> course. The kids are having fun and doing a great job on
WA> the car. I've gotten lots of compliments and it makes me
WA> feel happy even when I am blue. :-)
Beautiful things we are responsible for do make us happy... and not just us,
but other people who see it, too. Not only did you change the look of your
car, you changed the look on their faces. :)
WA> I went with the girls who help me (ages 13 and 14) to Lloyd
WA> Center, a local mall, on Friday. We had a good time. We
WA> were getting paint for a sun catcher I had bought previously
WA> that Laura was going to paint (thankfully the paint was
WA> inexpensive at Toys R Us), and I gave them a choice of where
WA> we were going. Then we simply window shopped. I had
WA> a great time and the girls did too. I also bought a new
WA> journal that I needed since I have been filling them so
WA> quickly, although I haven't written much the last few weeks.
It is a wonderful thing to share your love of crafts with the crafters of
tomorrow. They help us see it differently, for it is all new to them.
WA> The dentist appointment went really well. I took the Xanax
WA> and so didn't have the major panic attacks to deal with.
WA> Now I don't have another appointment for a few weeks. (We're
WA> getting the work done a little at a time.)
Ugh! Don't remind me. I just broke another tooth last night. At this rate,
I won't have any teeth left by the time I am 50.
WA> ... We can handle anything, with a little help from our friends.
And you help us, too, Wendy.
