DD> Your software baulks at having the IP attached to the IBN flag? DD> Time to get new software perhaps. DD> Besides, the nodelist is *not* intended as a method for finding DD> BBSs, it is intended as a method of finding mailers... Same old argument, same old response... Then what's the MO flag all about? Mail only, no BBS... it is to indicate that no BBS is present, or there would be no other need for that flag and it wouldn;t be there. It's existance does indicate that the nodelist has a purpose in identifying wether a node has a BBS associated with it or not, and since FidoNet was primarily a BBS network the flag is there as a -not- indicator rather than having an indicator that there -is- a BBS by assuming that nearly every node -did- have a BBS unless otherwise specified. Your argument against using the nodelist as finder of FidoNet BBS's is negated.
