We got together and bought him a speech program some time ago.  Find out what 
it is and what it needs to be compatible with his equipment (or if he still 
has it)  He said he didn't use it at the time because it wasn't compatible, 
but it's always possible he just wasn't ready to accept that he needed it at 
that point
