Yes, I note the date, for one than one reason.  I didn't receive it
until July 13 (what's going on with the routing?)  Also, I note that you
believe the propaganda put out by various right wing splinter groups.
"Free" is merely a comparison in quantity & quality to less free places.

Yeah, well, the folks who wrote/write our State's Constitution knew it
would be a real witch if someday all the public servants decided to
revolt, so they had the foresight to provide that clause.  That's why
the district's employees staged the "sick out."  Many refused to obtain
sick notes because the policy of sick notes hadn't been enforced all
year.  By selecting one day to enforce the policy, the district put
itself in the position of being accused of retaliation.  From what I've
heard, they backed down on it, but I could be wrong.
I myself was not asked for a sick note, but then again, I had already
been absent the two school days before it & then the two days after, so
I wasn't counted, nor considered by the administration to have been part
of it.  (I was really, really sick, but I *would* have called in anyway.
I ***would*** have.)
