Hi Lynn,
On Tuesday, 8 July 1997 at 19:25:28, Lynn Weinfurther confused
me talking about: Visual basic vs. Delphi to Simon Huggins
RT>> delightfully clear! Not for Delphi: all is ended with
RT>> the same END;
SH>> Ermmm, isn't that easier????!!
SH>> Instead of having to know what to put afterwards, you
SH>> just always put an end.
LW> Easier to write, maybe. But not easier to read. When I
LW> have several begin-end items nested I usually put a comment
LW> after the end to say end what. ie)
LW> if blah then
LW> begin
LW> with suchNsuch do
LW> begin
LW> ...
LW> end; {with}
LW> end; {if}
Yep that's good practice, but if you tab everything out then you can follow
it. But you are right it is a good idea to try not to confuse yourself
with your own code ;)
bfn,
si.
