I wonder if any of our union reps have considered that...? Because of
our leadership problem this year & my own dismal experiences therein,
I've decided that my project for next year is going to be increased
union involvement. I'm going to be training to handle grievance issues.
From what I saw this year, I will get lots of opportunities to learn.

We, too, in AZ have an anti-public education governor. He's a real jerk
from the get go. He touts how parents should have choice, yet is doing
everything he can to undermine the public system, thereby curtailing
parents' choice by removing most students' readiest opportunity to take
advantage of a free, appropriate public education. He comes from a
private, prep school background & doesn't see why every parent shouldn't
send children to private school.
When any of the so-called "educational establishment" complains, he
points fingers & intones that educrats are the problem, not the
solution. I would like to use this occasion to point back that
withholding a patient's blood supply is not the way to bring about
recovery after quintuple bipass surgery. About the only way this state
will be able to properly fund schools is by consolidationg some of the
300+ school districts & eliminating administrators who have little if
any impact on students' educational progress.
Sigh.
