While riding a dragon bareback,
Jack cried out: IT
JS> TT> I think you are absolutely right..although I was surprised
JS> TT> on the attempt of IT...I could not fathom how they were
JS> TT> going to work that movie where so much of it was based on
JS> TT> our imagination..but I have to say,they did a good job.
JS> TT> There are a lot of people who do not realize that the
JS> TT> Shawshank redemption is a Stephen King movie.
JS>
JS>I agree for the most part. But people (who had never read the book) seeme
JS>have the impression that IT was actually a giant spider which, of course,
JS>isn't
JS>true. I think the ending fell a little short.
Yes, the ending of IT was kinda lame. They left out the Turtle completely
(remember, the creature that created the universe one day when it had a belly
ache ), didn't cover ALL of the children's past (well, it was "made for
TV", so *some* of it had to be left out ), and didn't explain the "dead
lights" like the book did. It also didn't cover the town's history as well
as the book did (listing all the tragedies that occurred in the town).
But all in all, it was a good movie. One of the first my daughter really
liked. Now, if I can just get her to read the book. ;)
