Hello Bryan and Fellow Federationists and friends,
The time between an employees hiring and the time at which they begin
receiving fringe benefits tends to vary widely in the U.S. It can also
vary in various regions as well. Hear in Texas I have heard of people
receiving benefits as soon as two months after they were hired and having
to wait as long as two years and one month before receiving such benefits.
Somne companies will have special benefits packages for new and part-time
employees. Currently there are no laws mandating when a company must
offer fringe benefits to it's employees.
It's good to have you back on-line. A day is just not complete without
receiving some messages from the one and only Bryan Lingard. Hope all
goes well for you in the coming months.
Our family jjust went through the same thing last July when we lost my
Aunt Barbara. With her death the last of my family dissappeared from
brockton massachusetts. There are no more Donahues of my family there
now. Hang in there and have a happy holliday season.
yours truly,
peter Donahue
