I think my problem is the way our property slopes. The house is on top of
the hill, the back yard slopes gently down to a woodsy area, then has a
really sharp angle down to the flood plains. The ground where my garden is
is wet until the ground around the house is finished, then it kind of
straightens out. It just takes so long! My main problem though, is I don't
think I'm planting enough peas in the first place! :)

I love herbs, they're just so useful and decorative and most smell
wonderful (some are a funny kind of wonderful:) ). And I just don't
understand why anyone would want to grow a rose, no matter how perfect, that
doesn't smell like a rose? Puzzles me to no end.
