I'm looking for a .22 rimfire rifle for small game hunting and target
shooting.  I have read of many recommendations for good .22 rimfire rifles.
I saw a  Ruger 77/22 all weather do a .2" group at 100 yards right out of
the box.  On the other hand, I saw a Ruger 10/22 with a  few modifications
like barrel & trigger job) do the same. I would not mind having to modify a
10/22 to get accuracy. The question is, if I get a semi-auto rifle,  will I
be giving up on some of the power and accuracy?
