EH> And if EVERY landing was a power OFF landing, you'd never be surprised

Well, you should be at least surprised, but you should have
enough time to do something about it. I went up in the .Sim last night
and tried it again. Made a standard ILS approach to SYR runway 10, and
when the DME hit 5.5 I shut the engine off completely. Lasted about 3
seconds before I augered into a shopping mall. Only by cleaning up
everything immediately after I cut the engine was I able to avoid an
accident, but I still had to hold the gear up until just before the
threshold in order to make the runway.

Hee hee! :-)
EH> I haven't let an opportunity go by to razz him about it and now he's a

Cause he graduated Summa Cum Knockus, and lived through it.
Christopher
... Pardon me, but would you have any Blue Poupon?
