Just pick up all the mail when you return.  Actually I better make
a rule on that.  If anyone is going to be away for less than a 
month, don't bother letting me know.  After a month, I'll delete
all your packets, disconnect you from all echos, unless you have
given me advance notice.  This rule will be valid until something
changes (e.g. another hard disk, or less hard disk space free),
