Found an interesting item in the Providence Journal
Auto Answerman column this morning. It seems that
General Motors has come out with a gasoline additive
to prevent valve damage to older cars that need lead.
It's called "Anti-valve recession additive", GM Part
Number 12345492. Supposedly can be purchased from
any GM parts counter, but could be difficult to find.
And, if you order it, they may want you to buy the
whole case.
Anyone have any experience with this? I will say that
their "Exhaust Heat Riser Lubricant" makes about the
best penetrating oil I've found. Better than Marvel,
even...
