  Well, I found out... they're using (believe it or not) the Quake II engine 
for Duke Nukem Forever!  I understand this is to avoid releasing it and Prey 
at the same time, which would take attention away from each other.
  Don't worry, the Quake II engine is certainly capable enough.  It'll have 
rotating objects, coloured lighting, exploding walls, etc.
