Don't do that.  Write multiple characters to the screen at one time --
the more the better.  We're not in DOS-land anymore, Toto.  :-)

Speed of multi-char VioWrtCharStrAtt was comparable to one-at-a-time
direct character writing under DOS every time I've used it.  If you need
