You can join Fidonet without any problem, if you just make sure
you turn your computer on every night between 4+5AM, and run
Binkley, and have it connected to the phone line.  What's your
problem?  Why do you want a fidonet node number anyway?

Technical concession for massive mail movers.  Are you planning
on moving some large echos, perhaps picking up MSGED_ECHO from
USA?  And it's a lot more than 4 bytes, and it's transmitted to
40000 nodes or something.  That's something like 40*40000 =
1600000 bytes per nodelisted sysop, then there's points as well.
What were you going to contribute to fidonet that you can't
contribute as a point?  BFN.  Paul.
