what is the file called? unfortunately, under normal circumstances, i

cant hang the line tracer on at my end because i have an internal modem.

i may be able to borrow an external as well as the tracer, but it may

not be soon. i am also not sure whether the trace time tags characters

in async mode. we usually use it on hdlc lines where there are idle

characters constantly on the line (unless it is multidrop). i'll have to

drag it out for a look.
