Its a product put out by ROXIO (recently sold to Symantec)

Works under the same premise as the Windows System Restore that is found in
WinME/XP, whereas you can restore your system back to an earlier point in
time (15 minutes, a couple hours, a day or so ago?) to a state that it was
stable in the event something happened like a fubarred device driver
install or some such.

Unlike Windows System Restore, GOBACK puts up a boot time option to do its
thing as opposed to having to be booted into Windows to use the built in
system restore.. I had a couple instances when I was getting BSOD's in safe
mode, hence why I explored the GOBACK option.
