Depending on how they design it, it might be possible to exchange files with 
your friends directly, so as long as the friend of your friend of your friend 
has Internet access...
The 64DD, assuming it does actually ship with a modem, might require a 
special Nintendo Internet Service Provider, so you'll either pay $19.95/month 
for their service or just forget it.  I don't know.  How does the Sega Saturn 
handle it's Internet connection?
