I'm afraid most of the utils you mention here are a bit foreign to me.

Yeah, *I* rather like Linux myself, and I'm running Mandrake 9 on a WinXP
Pro dual-boot system. I still like playing with older hardware though, and
have several old 286/386/486 systems yet.  I do software/hardware
consulting, so have pretty easy access to lots of old 'discards' from some
of my clients.
