For a break and R&R(?), I do understand that.  The longest race I've 
been on has been about 8 hrs in length.  It's nice to do other things 
than have to concentrate on one thing for that entire time.  Besides, 
it's a great way to not only train new crew but to keep them interested 
in remaining crew.  
... My worst day sailing was better than my best day working!
