Hello all:
I realize this question is a stab in the dark because a) the doctors are
stumped (his symptoms don't fit any known condition) b) I didn't get this
information
first hand c) I don't know if these are all the symptoms.
It involves a white male in his 70s who is otherwise healthy. At first it
as
thought he had Alzheimers, but that's seemingly been ruled out. Approximately
six years ago, some of his physical abilities slowed down. He could no
onger
drive or play a musical instrument. Then his speech became slower.
ecently,
it was discovered that his frontal lobes are no longer there. I don't know
f
this means they are entirely absent, or atrophied, or what. He still reads
and comprehends what he's read. He has a hard time reading because his eyes
no longer move from side to side. His memory seems to be OK. His right hand
doesn't work properly so he can't write. He sometimes has difficulty talking
because his mouth can't form the words.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks very much.
