Hello genealogist !

My name is Antti Halonen, from Finland.
I found your @-adress of some site in web.
I have some problems with finding my grandfather. He name is/was Tauno
Moilanen (Born in Finland 30.01.1915). Tauno left his home (Iisalmi,
Finland) 1946, when his wife was died. He has two daughters, I am others
son. After years he sent letter from somewhere France to finland. Letter is
missing and I haven't exat sending place.
Maybe he has sons or daughters living in France. I want know what is fate of
him.
Could you help me with this problem? How can I start searching? France is so
big...
For example: is there in France some authority who has names of foreigners?
If you have some ideas, I hope that You write me by e-mail.
I speak only finnish and english language
