DB>RT> This is not the first reference to "Travelers" that I've seen, and >RT> in the same mysterious way. What/who are the "Travelers"? DB>Apparently they are a clan of Irish decendants who are centered in the >Deep South. I think it is Georgia, but I'm not certain. The clan >derives its currency by multiple scams and dishonesty such as "paint >jobs" where all the elderly befuddled homeowner only "pays for the >paint," or other "home repair" type of deals. They're not gypsies as >they have a secret inbred society (with bizarre customs) which doesn't >allow outsiders, in. Oh yeah... I remember a segment on 20/20 or some such about them. It has been some time ago though. The reason I asked the question was because of a comment I heard several years ago referring to the Masons as "Traveling Men". I don't know if the comment was serious of not or if the individual was even a Mason. Since the question of Masons in law enforcement had arisen here a short while ago, I wondered if you were making some reference to them. Guess not.
