We're talking about a lovebird, right? It's her OWN hormones doing that
to her--it doesn't even take another bird to get them started laying
eggs.

How long do you leave the eggs before you take them away from her? If
you leave them for a month or longer, she should get bored and abandon
them on her own. Allowing her to sit on them for the entire natural
incubation period may well cause her hormones to "cycle" through the
egg-laying stage, and get her back to normal (for a while, anyway).
