Greetings Peter!
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a coded message from Peter
Knapper to Don Guy was intercepted...
PK> 1. Use NETBIOS or NETBEUI as the protocol on ALL machines,
This is where I appear to have run into a snag of sorts--
Trying to find a plain NetBIOS protocol driver for the WFWG machine on the
'net tried my patience more than anything else. IBM Peer won't install,
'cause it can't see the network (allows only NetBIOS, or NetBIOS over TCP/IP
as protocols).
Looking through what's available through MPTS, NetBEUI doesn't seem to be
there. Do you know if there are "external" NetBEUI protocol drivers available
for Warp Connect?
PK> NETBIOS over TCP/IP is only needed if you are connecting 2 LANS
PK> together via a WAN connection,
No need for that here.
PK> 2. Ensure the WORKGROUP name on the WFWG machines is the same as the
PK> LOCAL DOMAIN name on the OS/2 machine.
Done.
PK> 3. Make sure the MACHINE NAME is unique for each machine in the same
PK> WORKGROUP/DOMAIN.
Also done.
