Rich,
Thanks. Looks like that's the issue with the Micron. Unfortunately =
there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done about it, since it =
would not be cost-effective to replace the processors. I guess it'll =
just have to remain as it is (running W2K Server) until I scrap it =
entirely and get a replacement.
All the best,
will

I have a friend with a dual Pentium Pro system that was puzzled =
that only one CPU was being used by Windows Server 2003. He tracked it =
down. Intel identified a serious data corruption issue in =
multi-processor Pentium Pro and Pentium II systems. See =
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=3Dkb%3ben-us%3b319091.

Just got my MDSN copy of Windows 2003 Server yesterday and upgraded =
my main
server from RC2. Alas, however, it announced itself not to be =
compatible
with my old Micron backup server's dual-processor (2x200Mhz) =
configuration,
so that system will apparently have to remain a W2K Server system. =
Next
chore is to install the final release version of VS.Net on my =
development
systems.
All the best,
will
