You don't need MCOMM for native OS/2 apps.  All you do is call the OS/2
API's, DosDevIOCtl(), for communicating with the COM port.  They're built-in
the OS.  The only problem with EMX 0.9b is finding some docs for them, you
may have to try to find a book, or get the Developer Connection for OS/2, or
buy a commerical compiler, to get the documentation.

The Semware Editor Jr. (formerly known as QEdit) is available in an OS/2
version.  There is not a shareware version, though you can get the upgrade
price directly from Semware.
