Yes, our experiences are similar though it appears that
we are travelling through time pointed in different
directions. That's not so strange really. In some
cultures people do not conceptually march forward towards
the future, the stop carefully backwards away from the
past. Then there are others for whom time does not exist
as an axis along which one travels in any direction, but
a set of cycles, or a single unity. My personal opinion
is that things do not happen and then end, rather, things
happen and then they have happened forever; similarly
once something exists it exists forever, life everlasting
if you will. So, basically, Gabriel never left Genesis,
and they are getting more and more progressive, according
to my convoluted philosophy.
Hey, Zappa keeps putting out albums. I can't be totally
wrong.
