Touch‚!!! I now keep a USB Floppy drive around, as both of my new audio
editing systems do not have them installed. It's far easier to plug into
the back of the case a USB drive, and boot from that for MB Firmware
updates, than it is to remove them from the rack (5 and 6U high cases), and
then remove the 16 odd screws to get the cover off, to plug one into the
MB. The cases have no place for a floppy to live.

You can see the cases (systems) at www.sadie.com. I have a PCM4 and DSD2
system. Right side of case is for CDR and removable drive bays. Internal,
there is room for 3 standard half height drives right in the middle. Cards
for the systems (full length PCI) are on the left side.

DSD systems have an additional 1U height that carries the DSD processing
board mounted to the hinged top cover, and also has controls for the
integrated analog D/A conversion. I've had to use the floppy several
times, as the MB's have had to have ROM upgrades/regresses several times to
resolve some timing issues. K7 Triton 400's GA-7VAXP Ultras.
