| subject: | REXX syntax-checker |
Hello All,
I am writing a REXX-program of which some parts are almost never executed
(for example, some parts are only executed when a certain error occurs, but
the particular error is difficult to generate). Since REXX only checks for
(syntax-)errors while executing the program, those parts are not tested for
syntax-errors.
Does anybody know whether is is possible to test those parts (or, in
general, the whole REXX-program) for syntax-errors? Does anybody know
whether there exists a program which does this, or whether there is a way
to tell REXX to check the program totally for syntax-errors, before
executing it.
I think it is not possible to check for all possible syntax-errors
(especially because of the interpret-statement), but I think there are many
errors which can be determined before executing the program.
Does anybody know whether this is possible? Thanks in advance for your answer.
