Remember, all he is doing is aliasing f500.n123.z1.fidonet.net to
"the-estar.com". I had nothing to do with my inclusion of my DNS
info at fidonet.net, but I also have no problem with it, I didnt even know
I was reachable via that method until you told me a year or so back.

What I do..

I own the domain name and via my registrar, I point the nameservers for it
to dtdns, I pay dtdns $20/yr for the service..

Then I run a program called "DYNSITE" that checks my WAN IP
address and updates dtdns with my IP address for "the-estar.com".

When I obtained a new IP friday afternoon as a result of the new router,
dynsite updated my fairly quickly and by the time I finished tweaking the
router 5 or 10 minutes later, I saw incoming connections come in.

I also have a backup address of eaststar.no-ip.org

This is a freebie service, but chances are if you cant get me via
the-estar.com, I probably have a hobbled internet connection or another
issue.
