Why ?? The virus writers (Vx) are making more than enough viruses to keep
them (AV) employed for ever !
They are flat-strap just trying to keep up.
Why would they need to create more ??
All they would do is to increase their own workload unnecassarily for little
or no gain.

Nah. Not worth it. The penalties if caught would be the total destruction of
ones own AV business. Their name would be mud, and worse ! The resulting
litigation would complete the utter destruction.

I think you aren't thinking this through fully. Look further ahead to the
ramifications.
There is 10-20 viruses produced eachweek. At least. Each one needs to be
pulled apart and analysed by the AV companies. This takes time and effort by
people who know exactly what they are doing. Believe me, it takes a =lot= of
effort to decode a virus - especially with some of the tricks put in by the
virus writers.
Why make it impossible to keep up ? There is =tons= of work without making it
necassary to work huge long hours.
The Vx crowd is keeping the AV crowd in business despite their hatred of
em.
You could look at it as a sybiotic relationship.
But for =any= AV company to employ a virus writer to write viruses, or to
write them themselves, is absurd.
